Sell with us

New York Wine Auctions is built by the team behind Leon & Son Wine — one of the country’s most respected independent retailers. For more than a decade, we’ve built trusted relationships with collectors, restaurants, and industry peers.

If you have serious wine to place, we bring the market knowledge, buyer network, and integrity to handle it properly.

From single bottles to full cellars, every consignment is approached with the same care and pricing insight that defines our retail business.

1. SUBMIT YOUR WINES

Share your wines using our consignment form below.

We evaluate each submission using real-time market data and our daily retail experience, then provide a clear proposal with estimated pricing, reserve guidance, fees, and timing. If aligned, we finalize a listing agreement and move forward.

2. INTAKE & AUCTION

Once approved, wines are shipped or delivered to our Brooklyn warehouse, where they are inspected for condition and provenance.

From there, we handle everything — storage, photography, cataloging, and placement into one of our bi-monthly auctions. Most consignments are brought to auction within 2–3 weeks of arrival.

3. SIT BACK & GET PAID

Your wines are offered to our network of collectors, restaurants, and authorized buyers.

After the auction closes and buyer payment clears, proceeds are issued promptly according to agreed terms — minus commission and applicable fees. Unsold items may be relisted into the next auction or returned upon request.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a limit to the number of bottles I can sell?

No limit! We welcome any size collection.

What is a Commission Fee?

This is a fee charged to the consignor by NYWA for providing our services, usually a percentage of the final selling price of the wine established by the listing agreement prior to the auction. For more information regarding our commission fee, email us at info@newyorkwineauctions.com.

We’re excited to offer a 0% seller’s commission for our first year.

What is a Reserve Price?

A reserve price is the minimum price that a seller is willing to accept for an item to be sold at auction.

Can I set my own Reserve Price?

Yes. You can set your own reserve price during the appraisal process. During our initial appraisal, we’ll provide a recommended reserve price based on the dynamic wine market which you can decline for your own. We advise not setting a reserve price too high as this may deter bids.

What if my wines didn’t sell after the auction was closed?

If your wines didn’t sell on their first auction, they’ll automatically be rolled-over to the next scheduled auction and so forth.

If a specific wine hasn’t sold after an auction closes, you may contact us to retrieve the wine before it’s rolled over to the next scheduled live auction. Any returns are subject to the sellers expense to pick-up or ship via our preferred carrier (FedEx) for an additional fee.
