2020 Domaine Armand Rousseau Chambertin Grand Cru Cote de Nuits, France
This cuvée comes from Rousseau’s 2.55 hectares in Le Chambertin, the heart of the slope between Latricières-Chambertin and Clos-de-Bèze. Grapes are hand-harvested and rigorously sorted, then given a cool maceration before the must moves by gravity to barrel for an élevage that typically lasts 18–24 months; bottling is done unfiltered, with a meaningful share of new oak reserved for the grands crus. The 2020 season delivered small, concentrated bunches and an unusually early harvest, yet the reds retained striking freshness and energy.
Removed from professional temperature-controlled storage; Sole owner, purchased upon release.
